Burt's Bees Natural Skin Solutions for Sensitive Skin Review

I have very sensitive skin. Because of my sensitivity, I have a very difficult time finding lotions and face wash that doesn't cause a reaction. Often times, even sensitive skin solutions will cause my skin to either dry out or become red and splotchy. Since I have found a lotion that works with my skin, I was a little hesitant in trying a new lotion and face wash.
However hesitant I was at the start, I am so glad I did try it. Burt's Bees Natural Skin Solutions for Sensitive Skin is truly made for sensitive skin. The facial cleanser is amazing. Normally, I have to resort to foam cleansers that leave my face feeling slightly dry and not as 'clean' as I'd wish. Scrubs completely dry my skin out then cause me to break out. The Burt's Bees face wash leaves my skin feeling fresh. The facial cleanser contains Quillaja (from the bark of the Soapbark tree) and Yucca for cleansing. Although my face is dry (I just can't help that) it feels fresh and clean. I've also noticed that my nose is not as oily and I do not have as many whiteheads. My husband, who loves his apricot scrub, also loves this facial cleanser. He doesn't enjoy the smell (or lack of smell, as it is odorless) but he likes the clean feeling it leaves him.
After washing my face with the Burt's Bees Sensitive Facial Cleanser, I have been using the Burt's Bees Sensitive Daily Moisturizer. The moisturizer contains rice extract to moisturize and Aloe to sooth. I love aloe and I love this moisturizer. It doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy and it absorbs into my skin super quickly. Sometimes I need to apply moisturizer to my face several times because my skin really is so super dry. Once a day application with the Burt's Bees Sensitive Daily Moisturizer keeps my skin radiant all day long. Another bonus is that this moisturizer is non-comedogenic so it won't clog pores. Yay!
All products in the Burt's Bees Natural Skin Solutions are gentle enough for daily use. They also all are fragrance-free , hypo-allergenic and contain cotton extract which helps replenish your skin's outer layer. Products are also dermatologist and allergy-tested. The complete line of Burt's Bees Natural Skin Solutions for Sensitive Skin includes the Sensitive Facial Cleanser, Sensitive Daily Moisturizer, Sensitive Eye Cream and Sensitive Night Cream. These products can be found in drug stores, grocery stores, natural health food stores and mass retailers (such as Target and Walmart) nationwide. If you have sensitive skin, these products are a MUST TRY. I highly recommend them.

Quick Meal Ideas

I used to make homemade meals almost every night, just not the nights we had leftovers. I love cooking but sometimes, I just can't stand it. Some nights, I don't want to spend an hour prepping and cooking an awesome meal but I also don't want to spend extra money (and calories) on takeout. Life just seems to be getting in the way of making, eating and enjoying a meal with my husband. Not only am I tired after a long day in a preschool classroom but my husband works really long hours. He's a full time teacher, coaches 3 sports and is taking several classes for his masters degree each semester. Needless to say, he is home very late almost every night. Who wants to cook dinner at 9 or 10 at night? Not me! So here I am, asking for help. I need some ideas for meals that I can make ahead of time and freeze for those nights I either don't want to cook or when my husband comes home late. Please share your recipes with me!

Earth Friendly Play dough Recipe

Play dough is one of the go to activities in my preschool classroom. We've tried many different recipes, gingerbread play dough, peppermint play dough, oatmeal play dough and soap play dough just to name a few. All of the kids love it and it's super easy to make no-cook versions during small group activities. One of my favorite go to play dough recipes happens to be one that involves cooking. If you're a SAHM, this recipe is definitely worth trying with your little ones. The consistency is very similar to store bought play dough and you can use the ingredients that you most likely already have on hand. To make this play dough, you will need:
1 cup flour (not self rising)
1/2 cup salt
1 cup of water (with your choice of food coloring mixed in)
1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
1 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar.
Mix the ingredients in a saucepan over low heat. Dough is ready when it forms into a ball while stirring. I find that I often need to add extra flour. Store in an airtight container.

Earth Created Designs Review and GIVEAWAY!

I’m a traditional dresser. I don’t have any flashy clothes and I’m not into super trendy looks, like skinny jeans, flannel tops, etc. I love the look of cardigans with classic/trendy tops and simple bottoms like jeans or khakis. It’s practical for my job teaching in a preschool classroom and it can easily carry over for evening or weekend looks. I use jewelry to help dress up my look so it doesn’t look boring. I don’t like to wear multiple pieces at once because I love the look of statement jewelry. I like to have that one piece of jewelry really pop, whether it is a big necklace or chunky bracelet. I often have a difficult time finding statement pieces that don’t look tacky, aren’t too big or made with cheap materials. I find that the bracelets and necklaces I gravitate to are overpriced and then they break after a few wears so I’m always looking for new pieces to add to my collection or replace old and broken pieces.
While searching for some eco-friendly products online, I came across a company called Earth Created Designs. They sell hand crafted eco-friendly jewelry! Perfect! I can look good and feel good about the jewelry I wear! Their unique bracelets, necklaces and earrings are all handmade from all natural 100% green materials acai, coconut, Algarrobo and Tagua.  Not only are these materials natural, they are harvested in a sustainable manner. This truly is jewelry that you can feel good about wearing.
Earth Created Designs was gracious enough to send me the Platino bracelet to review! The Platino bracelet is made from natural red platino seeds set on memory wire. This is such a beautiful and vibrant piece of jewelry. It also seems like it is very well made. The seeds are all nice and tight on the memory wire and there are no kinks or oddly bent curves. The bracelet also does not have any edges or metal pieces sticking out that my snag your clothing. The Platino bracelet wraps gently around your wrist. Its one size that fits loosely enough where you don’t feel ‘wrapped up’ but you don’t have to worry about it slipping off your wrist like some large bangles. I love how brightly colored the bracelet is. It’s red enough to make a statement without being overpowering. I have a lot of clothes that are black, gray, white and navy. The red in this will really make my outfits ‘pop’.

I am in love with this bracelet and can’t wait to pair it with everything in my closet! If you love the look of the Platino bracelet, you’re in luck! Earth Created Designs is offering one of my readers a Platino bracelet of their own!

*I recieved a free product for review purposes and I was not paid to write this review. All opinions of this bracelet are mine and mine alone.
